Start with what needs you.

What lands here

Everything that needs a response, in one list.

Calls, email and texts create their own work in Respond. The tasks you set go to Work today on the day they are due, and finished work collapses into Done today.

  • Replies

A reply to your email becomes a task with a first response due within two business hours, and the lead moves to Engaged.

  • Missed calls

A missed call from a number on file becomes Call back: missed call, on the same two-business-hour clock. Unknown numbers go to the Inbox first.

  • Voicemail

A voicemail becomes Call back: voicemail, due within two business hours. The message waits in Voicemail and texts.

  • Texts

On plans with incoming texts, a text to your business line gets the same two-business-hour clock.

  • Other new email

Email that is not a reply is due by 6 PM the next business day, in your workspace’s time zone.

  • The follow-ups you set

Every call outcome suggests one, and you can add a task to any record. It shows up here on the day it is due.

Order

Sorted by what happens if you wait.

Work on a response clock comes first. Each row says why it is there: what kind of work it is, when it is due and the note that came with it.

Records on the do-not-contact list never show up in Today. The server leaves them out.

  1. First responses that are already late

A reply, callback or text whose clock has run out stays at the top until someone answers it.

  2. First responses due within two hours

Clocks that are about to run out come next, soonest first.

  3. Overdue follow-ups

Tasks that were due before now.

  4. Other new conversations

Inbound work that still has time on its clock.

  5. The rest of today

Everything else due by the end of the day, in the order it is due.

Working the queue

Clear it without losing your place.

  • One item at a time

Focus next opens the top item with Call, Email, Complete, Snooze and Add note, the contact’s local time and recent activity. Step to the next without going back to the list.

  • Keyboard first

j and k move, Enter opens, e completes, s snoozes and o opens the record. Press ? to see every shortcut.

  • Snooze with a rule

Move a task to tomorrow, 3 days out, next week or next month. Snooze is off while a first response is due.

  • Views and search

Switch between All work, Respond and Work today, or use Find in this queue to jump to a name.

  • Mine or Everyone

Mine is your work plus anything unassigned. Admins can switch to Everyone to see the whole team.

  • On a phone

The queue fits a small screen. Swipe right to complete and left to snooze.
